Oil contamination in a compressed air system will cause numerous problems such as product contamination, damage and loss; inefficiency; and additional production cost. Mostly opt for oil-free compressor as the solution but the capital cost is high and even the oil-free compressor will not contribute contamination to the system, oil vapours present in the ambient air still remains.
We commonly use catalytic converters as a alternative option for oil-free compressor. An oil lubricated compressor together with a catalytic converter is a much more cost efficient solution. If you have an existing oil lubricated compressor, no need to change to oil-free compressor, just add a catalytic converter to become an “OIL FREE” system.
